The only reason I can think of tridelt not "meshing" well with a low tier is because they might think they are "too good" for the lower tier fraternity. Before I rushed freshman year I frat hopped everywhere once midnight hit, and to be honest I had fun at every single one. I actually enjoyed some of the lower tier frats a little more.
