It's simple to see the ones complaining are the NM's that got screwed over. Although I understand your disappointment and frustration there Is silver lining. Since you were not initiated, you are able to go thru recruitment again if you desire to do so. And yes, I realize what an awful experience recruitment is at IU, but you still have that option open to you. I don't think the EO or advisors knew before recruitment that they would ultimately pull the charter. Of course they knew that might happen if the culture did not change, just as the chapter knew that might happen. The chapter went ahead and broke their probation. The chapter did this knowing what the consequences would be. You ask "Who was leading the chapter?" The Chapter President and the rest of the executive board that was voted into office by the chapter. The Chapter Advisor only advices, the Chapter President is the one who presides over the chapter. This chapter was well known to be on probation. Just like you can list all the chapters on probation, it isn't a secret. This chapter has been under scrutiny for a long time. This was not a rash decision. Be an adult, realize you are better off than joining a house and moving in and then being forced to find new housing at some point. Put your big girl panties on and quit whining. Take responsibility for your decision to join a house known to be on probation. This is not the first or last time you'll be disappointed in your life.
