No, I don't think it's DPhiE's fault. I think it's the Greek environment at IU. If more people were more supportive, especially in the Greek community, I think DPhiE would be doing a lot better than they are now. How we treat and our willingness to help (or lack thereof) the "lowest" ranked chapter on campus says a lot about us as a community. The fact of the matter is that the guys run the rankings and the rankings matter disproportionately to freshmen. I think that a bunch of freshmen could happily find their home at DPhiE and change the chapter...but they're not inclined to, due to the climate that Greek Life creates. The thing that people don't realize is that this could happen to any one of our chapters. There is always going to be a bottom chapter. That's the thing with having a social hierarchy. Close enough chapters...and it will be yours at the bottom too.
