I believe that this semester only DPhiE will be pursuing informal recruitment. This will be our best chance at joining a sorority at IU at this point. If it were me, that is what I would pursue, because they have a lot of leadership potential as well. It's possible that next semester other unhoused sororities will be pursuing informal recruitment as well, but it looks like ASA and TPA got a great number of girls this year, so they may not have to. And if a chapter doesn't have to do informal recruitment, then it's better for them not to in order to save their energy and money, etc. So basically I wouldn't count on chapters doing informal recruitment until it's confirmed (via their social media or you officially getting invited to an informal recruitment). The housed sororities don't really do informal. And if they did, they wouldn't publicize it. It's probable they pick up a girl here or there occasionally, but the truth of the matter is that you're not going to be that girl unless you are besties with the right people and, if that were the case, then you wouldn't be asking about informal rush on this website.
