First, the reason people are rich is because they invest their money where they will get the best ROI. Private schools prepare you for college. My guess is few private school kids have any trouble at MSU and most are extremely successful because we are truly prepared. Michigan State is ranked higher in Forbes and I bet has a better career placement than Miami of Ohio. Yes, your experience at Miami may be better overall, but in the end, if you are in a sorority or fraternity at MSU, is there really a big difference? I went to a prep school and my parents are making contribute to my education. No free lunch, and I am fine with this. They could easily pay any amount. I am learning the value of money and saving myself and my parents over $100K. My parents would have paid for a top-ranked private college, but that didn't happen.
