<strong>Subject:</strong><br />IFC flying drones to catch unregistered events<br /><br /> Poster Message:
The Interfraternity and Panhellenic councils are currently working together with the university to fly drones over the campus at night in order to find unregistered events. As it is known, both councils have a rule in place that prohibits any fraternity or sorority from holding events outside of their respective council. The Panhellenic council has had a rule for decades that does not allow any sort of unregistered event to take place, and the IFC has been doing this for decades as well. The goal is to make sure that no fraternity or sorority holds an event without the proper registration, and thus forcing them to be held inside of a chapter house. The university is also involved in this because they are desperate to force fraternities and sororities to register all events, even though they are not officially recognized by the university. The university is also trying to use this as a way to appropriate additional funds to wherever the campus police want them.
