I was hazed in my fraternity. On the night we all got our brothers, I was forced to drink shot after shot of whiskey. I blacked out that night and passed out on the couch with no one took care of me while the rest of my family was doing lines on the bar. I should have expected this, this fraternity has issues nationally with hazing and even killed a kid a few years back. I'm initiated in now and I have been welcomed into the brotherhood, but that one night I woke up in shivers puking and feeling like death. It did not feel like I was going to be okay. I did not feel safe with the people who were supposed to be my brothers, but never dropped because I always thought it was all going to be worth it. I consider my self lucky to be here still, but others aren't as lucky sometimes. Hazing is fine as long as no ones personally safety is in danger, but if fraternities keep traditions like this going more people are going to die and GreekLife will be over.
