Thanks for the info. Sounds like a big decision for Pike but I agree that remodeling and adding another story is the way to go. One small correction, Pike didn't actually have two houses at the same time, ever. Pike moved out of "Pike North" (current house) in the late 90s because it was nearly condemned and the chapter had the opportunity to lease the building that is now Pima Hall. Pima Hall used to be the Teke house. TKE financed and built the house, the UofA owned the land. Note the 5 triangles on the front of Pima Hall, those are TKE symbols. Anyway, when Teke got kicked off, Pike took over the house and their "North" house sat vacant for a little while, then was rented out to fraternities after my time (Sigma Pi and PiKapp?). When Pike got kicked out of IFC, TKE sold the building to the school, which already owned the land. Pike moved back into their original Pike North house when they recolonized. But the TKE house is a good example of how advantageous it is for fraternities to own both their building and land.
