I graduated last year from Eller and was a Sammy active at U of A all 4 years. I'm working in a Fortune 300 corporation doing sales now and will be going to law school in the fall. Sammy was below a bottom tier frat when I rushed in fall of 2010, maybe 30 guys tops-no house. But I saw potential and really liked the guys. I did amazing things with the fraternity that I could not have done in any other chapter. Plus, our organization's reputation really changed over the course of 4 years at the school. We have a nice house with a pool and a solid brotherhood. We typically go to Vegas every spring as a weekender-I will be attending as an alum and it's always a great time. The frat has definitely come a long way, with more than 75 actives currently. This past spring was our biggest spring class on record, with 20 pledges. We've been through our share of ups and downs, but this was the best decision I made coming to college at U of A and I am still extremely close with my pledge class. The frat helped me find awesome connections during school with internships, as well as after I graduated. We are the largest Sammy chapter in the west. If I were you, I'd at least visit the house before rush starts and see what you think of the guys. Make a decision from there. Best of luck!
