Very VERY rarely do girls get cut completely from recruitment. The girls you hear about who "don't get bids" are usually girls who don't get bids from houses they WANT. That's not the same as not getting a bid at all. Not getting a bid at all is very rare. Every once in awhile there are a few girls who go bidless, but the process is set up so that every girl who maximizes their options will get bids.
