I have never heard of this supposed reputation that U of A sororities don't have close big/little relationships. That doesn't even make sense. How can that apply to a whole campus of sororities? Being close friends with your big has nothing to do with the school or even what sorority you join. It's about luck. Some girls get paired with girls that are their other halves. Some don't. But how on earth would that even have to do with what school you go to? It's definitely not a cultural thing. I guess it MAY be a little bit about which house you join. If you pick a house based on things other than sisterhood, then yeah, you might not end up with sisters you feel close to. If you end up in a house where you adore all the sisters, then you'll probably end up with a big you love. I guess this rumor may have something to do with the fact that U of A has a huge problem with tiers and girls liking houses only because they're considered the prettiest or most popular.
