Those rankings and numbers are meaningless. Everyone in CA knows San Diego State is an elite school with academics that rival most UC's. I honestly know people who got rejected by SDSU but got in at Stanford, UC Irvine or Berkeley. Trust me it is super hard to get accepted at SDSU. It doesn't have the name recognition of Harvard or MIT but it's lowkey right up there with some of the best in the country.
