If you get a bid from a house you didn't want and you try it out and still know it's not the house for you don't listen to the dumb overused cliche advise "trust the system." Trust yourself. Some Greek system only knows you for multiple short conversations, you know you the best and if you know a house isn't for you don't let some girl with a repeated saying try to keep you in the house. You know you, do what's best for you. Mistakes happen and a lot of girl I'm sure deserved bids from houses they didn't get so don't always trust the system.
