If you don't get a bid to a house you want... Trust the process. Stick it out up until initiation. Don't drop before you get your big. A lot of girls say their experience did a 180 as soon as they got their big sis. Stick it out. Make friends. Make an effort to make friends in your pledge class. Hang out at the house. Introduce yourself to others. Your experience is what you make of it. The majority of girls who have bad experiences in their houses, well, they only have themselves to blame. The only time I don't blame girls who drop are when they are bullied, which unfortunately happens.
