You're not going to get dropped from every single house. Plenty of sophomores get bids. If they don't, it's because something else is wrong with them. Not because they're sophomores. You may get dropped from the "good houses" (again, not because you're a sophomore) but those houses won't be participating in COB anyway so you may as well take what you can get during formal recruitment.
