You should join a sorority for friendship, not for equality of financial backgrounds, which is petty and unimportant. Even asking about this reflects very poorly on you, and if you discuss it during rush I can guarantee the house will cut you. I came from a middle class background and joined a "top ranking" house and we had some rich women and some had financial aid. It made no difference. These women were all attractive, bright and fun-loving. THAT's why you join a house.
