So I'm currently a sophomore who decided not to rush both my years due to personal reasons and I've come to really regret this decision. My parents have finally offered for me to pay to be part of a fraternity but I'm not sure if I should spring rush now and go to a "mid-tier" house or wait until fall junior year to get a "top-tier" one. Also, it's been my personal dream since I was young to join UT cowboys and I have a few connections to them through meeting people and a good friend of mine is in there as well. However, I'm not sure if I should skip joining a fraternity and hope to get into cowboys or possibly let go of my pipehood dream and end up joining a fraternity. Since cowboys is no guarantee and I'm not sure if I'll get put up by a fraternity since I would be a late addition to the house, I was looking for some advice from anyone who would know more about the topic.
