It rarely happens. As a freshman, I would say that you probably won't have time to do both. I guess it could be a possibility if you're red shirting. But it will depend on your sport and where in the year your season falls in the year. Also, athletes are very close to their teams. You may not find a need to be in Greek Life as well since the athletes seem to have their own sense of community.
