i have perspective on both sides of this. i joined my sorority through COB as a sophomore -- it's more common for non-freshman to go this route. it was really easy for me to join and i ended up getting into the sorority i really wanted to and literally it is no different than if i were to have joined as a freshman through primary. yeah, i missed out on basically a year with my chapter, but they still made me feel so welcomed regardless of my year. primary wise -- one of my best friends in my chapter rushed as a sophomore. she got in. it obviously depends on the chapter, some of them are more strict on that, some literally do not care. all i have to say is that if a sorority drops you because you're a sophomore, that place probably wasn't meant for you and it's probably for the best.
