I never said your boss at a job cares more about how you look than how good you are at your job, that is a completely different issue. This is a social scene, not a professional environment, so in terms of which frats/sororitys the other wants to mix with, yeah looks play a large role in it. Telling people to "grow up and begin ranking them how a professional environment would" isn't going to change reality as there is nothing to be gained from doing so and thus no incentive.
