Dude the worst thing you can do is try to pick a house you like before even going through rush. Unless you're considering schools im completely different partts of the country (i.e. The south) the sorority experience will likely be very similar, as long as you go in with an open mind and no predisposed judgements. As far as money goes, as long as you can pay dues and afford new outfits for every event, you'll be fine, but if you go in so eager and worried about the rep of the house you will not have a good rush experience
