I'm trying to choose between two really different schools rn, and Greek life is a big factor for me. I hate sounding stuck up but just so people can respond accurately I'm an incoming freshman that's decently attractive but I come from a middle class background. I definitely don't measure up, seemingly, in the wealth that these top tier sorority girls show on Instagram (not sure if it's a facade or true). I've heard the sororities can rush based on looks, but also on money. If I'm middle class and rushing but I have personality and looks, can I get a good house? How vital is being super wealthy to getting a bid from a good sorority? Are there middle class girls in these top houses now that still fit in?
