Its variable. Minimum first year is 2k but unlikely to see anything under 2800 lowest. That doesn't include gifts, extra shirts, clothing you will buy for events etc. If you think it will be a problem I would look into other clubs on campus. Other ways to be involved. The $ will stress you out because there will always be more to pay for. More $$, dinners out, spring break trips. You will feel very constrained by lack of finances. I would say rush anyway but if you know already that you cannot commit 3k then it probably won't be worth it. Good luck
