It is totally doable. I pay for all my dues by myself from my on campus job. I work about less than 15 hours a week and half of my monthly paycheck goes to dues. It's definitely worth it and a lot of girls work and pay their own dues. First year is most expensive, but you are paying for all your events, raids, formals, shirts, and random "gifts". Definitely don't let the cost make you shy away from rushing!
