No, actually the only reason we’re not in the village is that we own the house and refuse to sell the land to UBC. The other frats have a 99 year lease signed with UBC. We kinda do our own thing but we are very much welcome in the village. There’s actually still a spot for us if we were to sell but it’s not as sweet as our house now. Plus we’ve got a good thing going and we don’t wanna change that. The benefit: not being right next to the RCMP, having parties go on till late since the police need a warrant to enter our building or tell us to shut it down. Not getting egged everyday. Cons: being away from a lot of the Greek things and competing with the entire village during certain stuff.
