Poster Name:Rushed as Soph

Not sure of the exact number, I don't think they release that info because it's not really important. Nobody really knows if there is a "quota" for sophomores, because every house is different on how they recruit (some may not want any sophomores, some may not care at all). But as my own experience, I do think that being a sophomore affected my recruiting experience. So with that said, I wouldn't bring it up... but I also wouldn't lie. If they ask what dorm you're in (it's a typical question), be straight up and say "Oh I'm actually a sophomore, so I'm in an apartment". It's likely you'll be asked "Why didn't you rush last year?", and I would just say something like you had a wedding to be in over recruitment last year. And then move on. Ultimately as long as you have a great experience at a house, they'll probably ask you back. Being a soph doesn't define you as a person, so try not to let it be a big deal during rush.
