seriously, don't worry at all. i spent pretty much all winter break last year stressing about this. my first semester freshman year was absolute hell and my grades reflected it.. i had a 2.51 gpa and JUST made the requirement to rush (a 2.5). i still got called back to most sororities, the only few i wasn't were the tops like kd, kappa, pi phi, etc but i dont think it was because of my grades, just that im not top tier material. there was a rumor that after open houses aoii dropped everyone under a 3.5. this wasnt true. dont worry AT ALL. i was stressed for no reason. and, being in a sorority totally helped my gpa believe it or not too! (not saying a 2.9 is bad, just saying don't be stressed about time commitments etc) good luck and hope this helped
