Formal versus Informal Formal recruitment happens basically in August a week before school opens, you visit every house, and you have a Rho-Gam or a person to advise you about joining a sorority. Informal- This is basically rush either during a summer event or an event during fall or spring semester. Summer rushing and sign is a lot easier than informal rushing during semester.
