After having this same experience, I dropped my third choice a couple weeks or so after bid day. During that time I did not push myself to really spend time with the girls or get involved because I was so sad about the outcome. After dropping, I coincidently became close with the girls in the chapter I dropped seeing them around campus and from mutual friends. Some of my closest friends are in the house I dropped. since I dropped before initiation, I can rerush, but it is VERY unlikely to get the house you dropped again, and as of now that is the only house I see myself in. You have a couple months before initiation. I would definitely do all you can before then, and if it's really not a good fit then drop! No shame in that. But definitely do your best to give it a fair shot, or you might regret it like I do.
