I dropped recruitment when I went through and to be honest I regret it. I was left with my bottom three houses and I just couldn't handle that, the RCs would tell me things like "why would you want to be in a house that let you go. They're the ones missing out and the other houses really want you so give them a chance." and "most of the houses aren't that different. Remember all the reasons you want to go Greek and join any house for those reasons." I dropped anyway, I received a snap bid (bid for someone who dropped) and I still rejected it. When I did COB I ended up joining the house that gave me a snap bid that was in my bottom 3 and now I love it. I regret dropping recruitment because I basically missed my bid day and a lot of fun bid week activities. All the houses here are great and you'll fit in anywhere, you'll also have all of Panhellenic to find friends and the whole Greek community as well. Trust the system, it always works out.
