First off, rankings mean nothing. Being a "top sorority" generally just means having more attractive girls who are fun and like to party. Being "top" DOES NOT encompass anything like leadership, grades, philanthropy, community involvement, athleticism, alumni support, etc. Therefore, these houses are only considered top because 1) they have a good percentage of very attractive girls and 2) are fun and like to party. That said, their individual reputations are as such: Thetas: historically known as trophy wives, exclusive, rich, pretty. GPhis: fun, chill, hot, party girls with a good number of stoners. KDs: hipster, cute, fun, generally well liked by everyone. Pi Phis: hot, fun, knows how to go hard, a little exclusive. Aside from KD, all of these "top" houses are also regarded to have bad sisterhoods. Lastly, don't let these rankings or tiers influence your choice in rushing (if you're thinking about it). They do not guarantee you will have a good time there or prepare you for life after college.
