I didn't get a bid at all. After open house, only 4 houses invited me back and I think I had a chance at those remaining houses but it was just such a big shock to me that it probably affected how well I did at the rest of the house visits. One reason I think I didn't stand out as much was maybe because I didn't do anything amazing over the summer like travel, and I worked instead, so my conversations were "boring" and I got cut pretty fast. I also didn't know anyone in the UW Greek system prior to rushing so I felt like I was at a big disadvantage compared to girls who had family or friends as a common denominator. I don't know how big of a factor looks are, but I would say I'm pretty average and I don't wear make up soooooooo. I think I would do better if I rushed again, but the failed experience definitely made me lose some confidence and self esteem. I also know not a lot of sophomores rush and their chances of getting into some sororities are lowered or none.
