1. lambda is a gathering place of guys who didnt get bids from other frats, freshmen who got tricked into joining, and lifelong underachievers so there are a lot of them . Their numbers dont mean anything bc they suck on average. Even then theyre only at the campus average . Every fraternity “higher” then them has at least their numbers or more … even kappa sig and kdr will likely hit 80-90 this spring so lambda having 60-70 actives isnt some huge feat . 2. Yes they party but only with geeds and bottom tier sorority girls . Who wants to party in a super packed hot living room crowded with freshmen and gphis? They dont mix with even mid tier srats and on the rare occassion they do , barely any will bother going 3. Bad grades semester after semester , no membership development of any kind and no sorority relations to speak of outside of bottom of the barrel and outcasts from mid tier srats Lambda is a fraternity yes but with none of the perks or involvement with greek life at vcu as a whole . You could have the same experience by drinking skoll 5x a week with your burnout friends but without having to pay dues. At least the other bottom tier frats actually seem to care about grades, programming , etc . Lambda is only the “best of the worst” bc of their numbers and the fact they party more then the other bottom tiers . In ifc we always say rush where you fit in but lambda is genuinely the only fraternity on campus that i can say should be avoided because almost nobody will benefit from joining and theres a 95% chance to end up a alcoholic 26 y/o alum still going to frat parties with freshmen
