This is what the school is hoping people won't realize.The FOA is a totally one-sided agreement and the school offers nothing. They can suspend or terminate an FOA at will and even retroactively to protect themselves from liability. The main reason why houses retain their FOA is because for many, either their land or their house is owned by the university which makes the relationship important. An independent IFC would only really make sense if enough houses disaffiliated, and for that reason this isn't really possible.
