Some sororities are less popular, call it lower tier if you wish. Allowing these groups to choose to have smaller pledge classes would allow them to be more selective in who they take in, so after all is said and done the girls who join would be happy to be there and likely to stick around and the sorority might be able to improve in quality if not in numbers by being more selective. Would it be a terrible thing if UVA had some smaller sororities just as it has some mid-sized and smaller fraternities?
