You don’t need a rush coach if you are outgoing, interesting and give off a great impression when you meet new people. You probably do need a rush coach if you don’t have this “it” factor and aren’t super outgoing. Basically top sororities want girls they already know and like because they know what to expect from these girls. If you’re amazing but don’t have connections you might get lucky and get a bid to one of these sororities if you meet the right girls during recruitment and click with them. Unfortunately there are tons of amazing girls rushing and only a limited number of spots at each sorority but imagine what could happen to some of the lower tier houses if they got great pledge classes full of the awesome girls that don’t get bids from the top 3, that could really help these chapters’ reps after a few years of this. If each sorority can only take 50 new members, that equals 150 new members at the top 3. There are way more than 150 incredible PNMs going through recruitment that have to go somewhere, which means there are amazing girls joining other sororities.
