Above commenter: please note, I emphasized that I don't believe the majority of sororities are dirty rushing. You made my point - it's not about dirty rushing, it's about connections. The whole "oh, I know her from high school, she's great" is going to improve someone's chances over no one being able to vouch at all. And, of course, that's normal. But still leaves plenty of great girls out of the system.
