I say go for it bc it worked for me but half the friends I did it with dropped bc of the same reasons as their first year so manage your expectations. it’s def helpful to know people bc they can request to talk to you and then those rounds are way less pressure and a lot more fun but I also got asked back to a bunch where I didn’t know anybody. the one I joined I barely knew like 1 girl from orientation but I love it now! try to think back about what went wrong first year - I was pretty awkward and scared so I think that me being a lot more confident, planning my outfits out completely, and even thinking about potential questions and answers really helped now that I kind of knew what was coming
