1. Go into this open minded. Don’t close off any sororities because the one you belong in/fit best in might not be the one you expect. 2. Have questions ready to ask recruiters. 3. Don’t have short/one worded answers. Try to elaborate to keep the conversation going. 4. Act like they are your friend. The recruiters are looking for girls that they can see themselves or other girls in the sorority being friends with. If you already act like their friend they are going to come out of the conversation feeling good and like you would be a great fit. 5. Don’t take it personal if you don’t get invited back. It isn’t anything against you, sometimes girls just slip through the cracks. Also, sometimes girls will get paired with someone they just don’t mesh with, and while it is unfortunate, it does happen. 6. Don’t care about ranking. You shouldn’t be joining a sorority just for the status in the first place. Also, quite frankly the ranking shifts a bit each year so even if a sorority was ranked high or low this past year, it might be different this upcoming year. 7. You will end up where you are meant to be. As cheesy as it is, it is so true. I was so upset about not getting my first choice but I am so glad I ended up in the sorority I did. Most of my best friends are in my sorority and I have made some of the best memories here. You have to just trust the process.
