Ladies!! You made it!! Bid day is just around the corner! Some advice before the night is over: 1) If it’s not too late, do NOT single choice preference (aka suicide bidding). There’s so much I can get into about how the math works to where it’s a HUGE disadvantage, but bottom line- it’s not worth it. 2) Have an open heart to your second preference! You WILL find your people- it might not be an instantaneous moment on Bid Day like in the movies or even Instagram, it might take a few weeks or months, but you WILL find them. 3) Related to that, don’t be disappointed if Bid Day isn’t a magical movie montage. Bid Day is SO fun, but it’s been a long week. Be forgiving if your Bid Day buddy is low-energy, or if your new pledge class is shy. Relax, have fun, and celebrate! 4) If you aren’t feeling the chapter you got a bid from, give it an honest try. Go to meals and events, meet people for a few weeks, or as long as you can before initiation, before deciding to drop. You might just run into your new best friend or your potential big that will make a world of difference for you :) Enjoy it ladies :)
