Panhel may not know much more than you. It's really up to Chi O to clarify their situation. If you receive a bid from them today, go! If all the potential pledges band together and say that as a group they want more info directly from the Chi O Advisor or National BEFORE you pledge or initiate, seems like someone would have to show up to talk to you. Maybe they can send the same person who investigated/put the house on probation last spring. Chi O wants you so use that to your advantage. You could also check out the Chi O National website and see if you can learn anything there. Def more info and transparency is better and you should know what you're getting into before you initiate. But if they've got a great group there today, and it seems like they will, will probs be fine.
