I'm confused as to your point about spring informal recruitment. There was a fair bit of spring activity and yes sadly most of it was of the quiet variety that most people (understandably) find offensive. Retention issues (PLEDGES AND UPPERCLASSMAN) exist at a number of houses for a variety of different reasons and I just wish there was a bit more honesty about it. In my house two people mysteriously arrived in the spring that I had never met. I was told they were friends of friends. Didn't think this was cool at all and frankly I felt bad for the two randoms that just melted into the fray at the house. I wish more time was spent fostering sisterhood across the panhel as I think it would help all the houses. I was also in a house with large pledge class and frankly it wasn't good. I think 40 would have worked but the 50 level was just too much and isn't sustainable.
