While I think its great that Panhel appears to making some public gestures to create the perception of improved communication, organization and leadership DO NOT BE FOOLED into thinking there is any substance behind the recent moves. The old adage about how to watch what I do more than what I say really sums up the issue here perfectly. Panhel can talk and talk and talk but until we see change, honesty and true communication its honestly all total BS. PNM's keep in mind that Panhel has a vested interest in maintaining the status quo and continuing over 100 years of extreme secrecy and inertia. I for one believe we deserve better leaders than we presently have in panhel and would be supportive of 'sweeping the decks' completely and bringing in new members. Anyone associated with last years FFR should be excluded from consideration for any leadership role. We have so many substantive issues that need resolution and discussion but I truly don't think this will ever happen as there was zero honesty within the panhel system to even have a plan-do-evaluate type conversation about last years FFR! To PNMs realize you are 'on your own' and do your own thinking about whether to join or not as Panhel and its recruitment minions are not there to think about you at all but rather to further their own interests which in many cases are diametrically opposed to that of the PNM.
