It honestly sounds like that girl picked her house because she wanted to be apart of the "pretty" crowd rather than picking based on values. Just make sure you list what you want and stick to it. It's easy to be swayed by beautiful decorations and skinny blondes with long legs. Stick to your values and what you want. If the house that best matches your values happens to be one of the top and you feel like you really click with them then don't be scared of your decision because you wont end up like that girl. I know genuinely good people in both pi phi and dg. They chose based on values and LOVE their choice. Just make sure you pick whats right for YOU because in the end that's what will make you happiest.
