<strong>Subject:</strong><br />Dropping my sorority <br /><br /> Poster Message:
Hey yall, I'll be dropping my sorority at the end of the semester but im keeping it hush hush. I saw it as an experience to find a group of people who I can see as bridesmaids at my weddings, aunts to my future babies, and just a friend to lean on, but I only got the complete opposite. I have never felt so left out and judged before by girls that are supposed to be my "sisters". It's got to the point of calling my parents crying every other day because of how I feel ive been treated by these girls. In NO WAY am I saying I think greek life as a whole is this vile, but this specific chapter is full of ignorant, pitiful, and judgmental girls. I have made many many friends outside of my sorority that i'll be thankful for till the die i die. I came into greek like knowing nothing about any of the sorority reputations and went with my gut and chose girls I thought we would make me feel at home, but ive been nothing but depressed and extremely anxious this semester. My sorority is seen as "new on campus, but the girls are super sweet and dont judge you based on looks". Its a fraud. If your an incoming freshman, just take this as a tip that if you dont feel treated right DO NOT STAY. they are not worth your time. Dont force it to work, because sometimes i just wont... no matter how hard you try. To girls in other sororities reading this, be warned that nothing is what it seems
