Subject:
For PNMs: Truth About Ranking

Poster Message:
PNMs - If you are going through recruitment at Auburn and are on this site you’ve seen a lot of posts about sorority “rankings” .. that’s because girls in several of the sororities use this site to promote their own sorority by disparaging the others, especially those sororities that typically compete for similar PNMs. While there will always be sororities that are considered “top” for various reasons ( ie longest history at Auburn, hold most positions in student organizations, have highest GPA, etc) you shouldn’t focus too much on the rankings you see on this site. The rankings are typically an attempt by certain sororities to promote themselves by making arbitrary claims anonymously about which sorority is now top top, who’s top bottom, who’s middle top, etc and then commenting anonymously to make it seem like it’s legit. Of course, they rank their sorority high. If you are interested in joining one of the top 5 sororities with highest GPA then go ahead and rank them based on that measurable criteria, but if thats not what you are looking for and you are just trying to find a sorority with girls that you vibe with and share common interests then don’t focus on rankings — instead focus on trying to find a sorority that values the same things you do. Every sorority at Auburn is a little different and ranking them on arbitrary criteria that may or may not be important to someone makes no sense at all. Some sororities are very academic, some are very involved, some are very religious, some are mostly in state, some are mostly out of state, some are known for having fun and going out, some are known for being more chill, some are a mix of all those things. So instead of worrying about a bunch of bogus ranks on this page, try as best you can to find the sororities that you feel align with what’s most important to you and where you can see yourself fitting in best. If you do that, then you will have found Auburn’s top ranked sororities! Good luck! :)
