Sometimes I catch myself wishing I would've put a "higher" house as number 1 after prefs, and then I realize it's for completely superficial reasons and that I fit in with the house I chose perfectly. Yes there is a "tier" system in a sense, but instead of trying to eradicate it, we need to make it so it doesn't matter as much.
