What everyone else said is totally accurate ... I hate how websites like TFM/TSM write some articles that may seem like their is a big emphasis on tiers, hot houses, best pledge classes, but in reality, and in alumni world none of that matters. I thought all that BS mattered when I rushed my freshmen year. I had my very top favorite house left one I was so sure of that I was going to get a bid to one that was "a better house" and had girls the "best frats" hung around. Then on the complete other end was a house that was what I thought at the time very average..not horrible... But I didn't think they had the sparkle or the rep my other house did. Long story short after this girl did everything but help me pick out my room number in the better house ... Come bid day that sorority wasn't on my bid card the other one was. Needless to say I was heartbroken I cried, I was pissed, I threw a tantrum that was extremely childish. I stuck it out though and it gives me chills to think about how much that "lower" chapter meant to me. I couldn't have imaged college without those girls and even though we're alum now we're still ridiculously close. Every house has gorgeous girls, every house has bad eggs, every house has party girls , girls who study, girls who are super involved on campus etc. Keep an open mind for the love of God. I was so close to dropping but i put my ego aside left all the stereotypes at the door and REALLY gave the girls and my chapter the chance they deserved.
