Pnms, there’s a dirty little secret out there called dirty rushing. It’s when a house gives you a gift or a special note that implies you are a lock for a bid. This is a big deal and houses incur fines for this. But they do it anyway and it creates an uneven playing field for all the houses. If a house isn’t hugging you, giving you gifts, offering treats, saying things like see you later, it’s because they adhere to Panhellenic recruitment rules. But if you don’t know, you might think all houses give gifts and special treatment to the ones they want back and if a house isn’t doing that , they must not want you as much as the house that does. It’s a dirty practice. Had a girl in my recruitment class that was crying because a House had given her a special note in round two so she preferenced them only to find out she was dropped in round three and she missed out on other houses because of this. It’s unfortunate houses do this and actually set money aside to pay the fines because it’s intentional. Character counts.
