Post 1/2: Ranking the four sororities is kinda BS in a campus this small. Here's an overview of personalities: Zeta: A local group of girls that love parties, pinterest crafts, and designer bags. There's a handful of outliers, but this is definitely the group that is most like the traditional sorority. They're known for hosting a caramel apple event in the fall, and for their annual Highlighter all campus party. They support Breast Cancer Awareness organizations, and do "Pink" events related to finding a cure. Originally founded with assistance from the Betas (sports frat at Kenyon), the Zetas have a cloudy past regarding strange hazing rituals which are now a thing of the past. During pledging no one in the sorority can "dress down," so all active members and current members are required to dress business casual wearing their Zeta pins (and dressier) for ~5-6 weeks every spring. Theta: Known for glitter, snakes, and rage, Thetas know how to have fun. They're the oldest sorority at Kenyon (established ~1985), and while they were briefly National, it's rumored they were dropped by their Nationals for not bringing in enough people (but this is hard to do on such a small campus). They have a number of athletes in their midst and are known as more of a chill, weed smoking group. As it stands, they might be the best organized sorority on Kenyon's campus, and their alumni weekends are known for being rowdy. New members and active members must wear capes at all times during the final week of their pledging.
